The Rainbow carries me to the Canyon.

The Rains take me higher.

Ohia and Koa-- soft and strong--

Run on the Mountain

To the Sea.

Blues and Greens cool me 

As if a Window were open,

And I in a Dream.

The clouds dance. 

They conceal more than they reveal.

But as the hours pass

A verdant Valley is seen.

Flutes and Towers

Cliffs and Spires 

Rise to the ridge in Power,

Inspiring me

To wonder.

In the Time it takes to take

The Sleep from my eyes

The Valley is gone, again.

A Rainbow in its place,

The Memory

Carries me Home.

The majority of the photos in this post were taken with a Leica SL2 and Leica SL3 (most with the Leica SL3 and a Leica 21mm APO lens). One or two photos were taken with the Canon R1.

The locations are: a few pullouts along Waimea Canyon Drive; the main viewpoint at Waimea Canyon State Park; and Kalalau Lookout in Koke'e State Park. I think the Kalalalu Lookout is the most beautiful view on Kauai.
